This residence feels at home along the banks of a quiet cove in Southern Maine, blending in beautifully with its natural surroundings while making a classic, and familiar, visual statement.
The owners came to us looking to design a Shingle-Style home, a classic in Maine. With this in mind, we implemented some famed features associated with the one and only John Calvin Stevens, a prominent Shingle-Style architect in the early 1900’s in Maine. These details can be found all over this 3,300 square foot project from the gambrel-shaped roofs to the dark color combinations used throughout.
With an open floor plan and relaxing views of Freeport’s water and tall pines, this is a classic Maine home, and one we’re very proud of.
